Pool Rules & Policies
Swimming at all times WILL BE AT YOUR OWN RISK
1. Children under 10 will not be admitted without a parent. Children 10-15 will only be supervised by lifeguards in the lower pool area from 1-5p.m. All other times and places children must be supervised by parents or an approved designated supervisor (age 21 or older) who is responsible for them.
2. Children 15 and under must be with an adult (21 or older) during hours the lifeguard is not on duty and at all times at the upper pool.
3. No alcoholic beverages are allowed on Shamrock property.
4. No pets are allowed inside gate. Please do not bring pets to the pool.
5. Eating is permitted inside the pool area but not within 6 feet of pool edge. Please pick up any food dropped on the deck or grass. No CHEWING GUM OR GLASS of any kind is allowed.
6. Running, ducking or other dangerous horse play including chicken fighting is absolutely not allowed.
7. No swimming is allowed in diving area when diving board is in use, and only 1 person is allowed on the diving board at a time. No back dives or flips allowed.
8. No DISPOSABLE DIAPERS in any pool. Please use disposable swim diapers with plastic pants over the diaper. This is required for Public Health Standards.
9. Do not throw pennies or other small objects into the pool that are not approved by the lifeguard. Only balls approved by lifeguard or gate attendant may be used in the pools. No tennis balls or leather hard balls are allowed. Please do not use toys not made for pool use in the pool. Small parts of toys, dolls and coins can damage the pool filters and drains. Bobby pins and hair pins are not allowed. They rust quickly and leave marks on pool floor.
10. Public Health Standards require that each person shower before entering pool. Please shower when returning from ball field and tennis courts. Please wash feet when returning from play and picnic areas. Please shower when returning from ball field and tennis courts.
11. All members and guests must check-in with gate attendant when entering pool area. Guests must always be with a member.
12. Please keep the lap lane in upper pool open for lap swimming. Do not sit, hang or pull on lap lane rope. If you break it, you fix it!
13. The lifeguard is authorized to clear the pool at any time by blowing the whistle. All children under 16 must leave pool during the 10 min. break. Children repeatedly ignoring the lifeguard's instruction and any pool rule will be asked to leave the pool area. Older children are not to use the baby pool during the break.
14. Guests from out-of-town (counties not surrounding Oconee) will be allowed anytime as long as they are with a member. Age restrictions apply to guests as well. In-town guests (Oconee or surrounding counties) will be allowed on a limited basis. Each family has 10 guest passes plus 2 additional for each child in a family of 5 or more. All guests must be signed in and supervised according to pool policies. Guest restrictions are for the protection of the membership. Gate Attendants will keep a record of in-town guest passes used and will inform members when they have used all of their passes. We do not sell additional guest passes.
15. Members should drive slowly and carefully in the parking area.
16. Please help keep your pool clean by using trash cans, picking up food or drinks that may spill and gather all your belongings when you leave. Items not claimed by the end of the summer will be given away.
17. Lost and Found items will be in lifeguard room or in a container near the phone. Please check with gate attendant if you find or leave items. Do not remove items that are not yours. Shamrock is not responsible for items that are left.
18. Pool rules apply at all times and are for your safety.
19. Please report any fecal matter accident immediately to the lifeguard or gate attendant. The pool will be closed for a period of time when an accident occurs.
20. No smoking will be allowed inside fenced pool area.
21. A non-member may supervise a member child as a baby-sitter. They must be listed on the Designated Supervisor Form submitted by the parent and must be 21 years old or older. They must sign in. Shamrock management reserves the right to deny access to the pool to baby-sitters who do not supervise their children. Parents will be notified should this be necessary.
22. The playground is for use by children 10 years and younger. Children must be supervised by an adult.
23. Members may reserve the Patio or Picnic Shelter for parties during regular pool hours by calling the pool and signing up for a date and time. Members must have a lifeguard if there will be 10 or more swimmers and there is not a Shamrock lifeguard on duty. Members will need to use their guest passes for in-town guests who are non-members. Please no more than 20 attendees at any party. We do not rent the pool for private parties. Please call the pool to make a reservation.
24. Please place pool furniture back on pool deck when you leave.
25. Members shall be responsible for the cost of any damage to Shamrock property caused by them, their children or their guests.

2. No wheels of any kind on courts (i.e. Skateboards, bikes etc.)
3. Limit playing time to 1 hour if others are waiting
4. Only one guest per member
5. No glass or drink cans
6. No animals inside gate
7. Courts may not be used for instruction
8. For volleyball use, see instructions on volleyball container
9. Please keep your courts clean
10. Gate must be kept closed and locked
