Swimming Lessons Policy
We have enacted some changes to our swimming lessons and swim instructors. We are implementing these changes due to the new Izzy's Law and requirements from our own insurance company.
All instructors must have current CPR certification. The instructors must have an aquatic safety plan in place before instruction begins. Each student must be watched by at least two people. Our lifeguards and gate attendants can not be one of the two people. Our insurance company is requiring that each swim instructor carry a million dollar accident insurance policy. All possible instructors must be verified and approved by Shamrock management. Yes this seems extreme; but in today's climate everyone must protect themselves.

All swim lessons must be pre-approved by Kerry Shepard who can be contacted by email at info@shamrockpool.com. Instructors need to contact Kerry for details on gaining authorization and paying a pool usage fee for the lessons.
Due to members' complaints that swimming lessons drug on throughout the summer and disrupted their pool time, we are choosing to limit swimming lessons to the month of June. This applies to anyone teaching swimming lessons.
If members are found to be paying for swimming lessons from a nonapproved instructor, their Shamrock membership will be revoked and possible legal action may be taken.
If a nonapproved instructor is found providing lessons, the instructor will be asked to leave, membership (if applicable) will be revoked and possible legal action may be taken.
We take the safety and well being of our members very seriously. We hope you understand our position on the swimming lessons issue.
